Geothermal heating and cooling systems, a.k.a. GeoExchange systems, utilize the moderate temperatures found a few feet underground to heat and cool homes. Geothermal systems are more cost-efficient, environmentally friendly, and safe than typical heating and cooling systems. {Let’s not emphasize ‘a few feet underground’ because we drill vertical loops that are 200’ deep. Actually vertical loops require less piping than horizontal loops because the Earth deeper down is cooler in summer and warmer in winter.}
